FAQs

What Time Is Check-In And Check-Out?

You can check in as soon as the rooms or beds are ready, which is usually by 3pm. If you arrive earlier, you are welcome to store your bags in the luggage room and use the common facilities. Check out time is 12 noon.

Do You Provide A Map Of Prague?

Yes! We provide guests with a free customized map of Prague full of great, helpful information and recommendations of our favourite places to eat, shop, sight-see, and more. In fact, you can download the map here. Feel free to check it out and start planning your trip!

Where And How to Park Around Czech Inn?

Parking in our neighbourhood is mostly exclusive for residents. However, there is paid parking for a limited number of hours on the streets surrounding Czech Inn.

To avoid the hassle of being fined or having to move your vehicle, we recommend finding a garage or an alternative parking where to leave your car during your stay in Prague. You can, for instance, book ahead through Mr. Parkit .

On arrival, you can park in front of Czech Inn to drop off your things. Our colleagues at reception will be happy to help you with explaining the street parking or finding another suitable parking for you.

How Does Prague’s Public Transportation Operate?

Metros run from 5am to midnight. Depending on the day and time, metros can be 3-9 minutes apart. Day trams also operate from 5am to midnight. From midnight to 5am, you can catch a night tram on most high-traffic tram routes. Night trams (and only night trams) are numbered in the 90’s (i.e., 91, 92, etc.). Tickets can be purchased in the metro station, some stops or inside all trams and buses:

• 30 CZK (30 minutes)
• 40 CZK (90 minutes)
• 120 CZK (24 hours)
• 330 CZK (3 days)

Czech Inn’s tram and bus stop is Krymská and you will find directions to the Czech Inn here.

What Do I Need To Know When Taking A Taxi In Prague?

When taking a cab in Prague, we strongly recommend phoning a reputable taxi company. If possible, avoid hailing a cab on the street. Before the journey, request a printed receipt and make sure the driver sets the meter to zero. And, of course, it’s always a good idea to carry small bills and be discrete with your belongings.

  • Fare from the airport to Czech Inn is around 600-700 CZK (Or, see the Transport Service we recommend for 600 CZK.)
  • Fare from main train station to Czech Inn is around 300 – 400 CZK. (Or, check out our Transport Service for 250 CZK.)
  • In general, the starting rate should be 30-40 CZK, and then 28 CZK per kilometer.
  • Avoid taxis that quote you higher prices than the rates stated above or that do not use a meter.
  • We recommend Tick Tack Taxi, phone: +420 721 300 300.
  • We also recommend AAA Radiotaxi, Phone: +420222333222 or 14014.

Some Final But Important Points To Remember!

On occasion, due to the nature of hostels, it can happen that guests need to move rooms during their stay despite our best efforts to limit and avoid such cases.
Czech Inn is a hotel/hostel for travellers, not for workers. For this reason we have a 7 night maximum stay in any 3 month period in our shared dormitory rooms.
All bookings must be paid for on arrival or at the time of extension.
We do not allow check out and check in of rooms on the same day, unless there is no other option available. i.e. no bed/room hopping!
We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave if we feel they are disturbing the general operation of the hostel, other guests or our staff.
We kindly ask guests for understanding.
